Lititz Academy of Dance’s COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan and Procedures

It is extremely important to all of us at LAD that we follow CDC guidelines and those of the PA Dept. of Health. The health and safety of our studio family is paramount! As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a fluid situation, we will work to adjust whenever needed to be fully compliant.

Temperature Screening / Illness

Please be sure temperature is taken before every time coming to the studio. Please DO NOT come to the studio if you have a fever, cough, any COVID symptoms or are sick. Please DO NOT come to the studio if you have tested positive for COVID-19, are being testing for and suspected of having COVID-19, or have had COVID-like symptoms, within the past 14 days.
Please DO NOT come to the studio if you had close contact with a person, who has tested positive for COVID-19, is testing for and suspected of having COVID-19, or has had COVID-like symptoms, within the past 14 days.

Masks / Face Coverings

Due to our Governor’s latest order, masks / face coverings must be worn by all in our studio. Thank you!

Additional Rules and Procedures

  • Dancers must come dressed and ready for class. There will be no changing areas.
  • Dancers should bring the bare minimum inside the studio. We recommend large plastic zip-lock bags – 1 for shoes, etc., and 1 for masks, phones, etc.
  • We ask dancers to please bring their own water with a resealable lid. Our water fountains are not available due to COVID-19.
  • Students with multiple classes in one day, that are not back-to-back in the same classroom / suite, must exit the studio until their next scheduled class time. We are so sorry for any inconvenience! Due to COVID-19, our lobbies are not currently open (other than to parents of our youngest dancers – please see separate info.)
  • All lost and found items will be disposed of at the end of each business day.

Lobby / Studio

The lobbies are closed. The studios at this time must be limited to students, faculty and staff.

All parents / guardians, siblings and family members must wait outside of the lobbies / studios. The exception would be for our P1,2, and 3 classes. During these classes, 1 parent per child may come into the lobby. We apologize for any inconvenience, but must make these amendments in order to be compliant with the maximum number allowed in the studios.

Drop-Off / Pickup: Students must enter and exit through the door of each classroom’s suite. Please social distance outside, as well as when entering. Teachers will open doors for students, and greet with a nice dollop / spray of hand sanitizer! Students will receive more hand sanitizer when being dismissed one at a time for social distancing. They will be dismissed onto the sidewalk. Parents – PLEASE be prompt picking up.

Increased Sanitizing and Disinfecting!!!

Frequently touched surfaces will be sprayed and or wiped down / disinfected after every class. This includes the barre, door handles, floors, bathrooms, cubbies, etc. At the end of each night, we do this, as well, with hospital-grade cleaning / sanitizing / disinfecting products.

Social Distancing / Extra measures your STAFF is taking

Due to social distancing (or as we like to say, Social DisDANCING), individual class sizes will be smaller as a whole, and available only on a first come, first served basis.

Social DisDANCING will be the theme! 6′ x 6′ marked social distance squares will be featured in each studio. Any barre work will be done with students social distancing. Any across the floor work will be done with social distancing.

All four of our suites / classrooms will be outfitted for ZOOM. We are thrilled that in the event of any government restrictions mandating a pause to our in-studio classes, thanks to ZOOM, we will keep on teaching and dancing without missing a beat! We will simply teach classes at their regular times via ZOOM. This will also be available for students unable to attend due to illness, etc., or to those who may not be comfortable coming into the studio for instruction at any given time.

Everyone entering the Lititz Academy of Dance must agree to, and follow, our COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan, which may change at any time. Thank you!
