Rebecca Niggel is a Lancaster Pennsylvania native who is currently working towards a BA in dance and a BS in early childhood education at Slippery Rock University (SRU). At SRU, Rebecca has learned from Jennifer Keller, J-Sun Noer, and Irishia Romaine, Emmalee Hallinan, Erin Kouwe, and Lindsay Viatori. Through SRU Dance Theatre, Rebecca performed in Works by Abby Brubaker, Ally Capone, Lily Staib, Skylar Ankrom, Paula Rodriguez, and Katrina Rowe. Rebecca is in two dance clubs at SRU: NHSDA and the new Rock N’ Fusion Commercial Dance Club. Rebecca got her training at Lititz Academy of Dance (LAD) and belonged to their company, Cojomotion Dance Company until 2024. At LAD, Rebecca was taught by Lisa Kalinowski, Christine Chever Healy, Michelle Stauffer, and Erin Fulmer. Rebecca performed with the Cojomotion Dance Company in their Christmas show, A Season for Wishes, from 2016-2023, and in 2025. Through the company, she choreographed and performed two solos and many group choreographic works. At LAD, Rebecca is a summer dance teacher, an assistant dance teacher, and a substitute dance teacher. Rebecca had two of her choreographic works performed in LAD’s 2024 Spring Recital. Rebecca loves to teach, choreograph, and explore new ideas. As a fun-loving dancer, she is always looking to find new experiences with improvisation. She both performs and teaches ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop.
